Super Dylan

Dylan was five and a half when he suffered a Sudden Cardiac Arrest. He was given 90 minutes of CPR along with Adrenaline.

No one knew at the time that Dylan had an undiagnosed heart condition called Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia (CPVT). He is also allergic to adrenaline. It’s a very rare heart condition with only around 20 people in NZ with it.

Dylan was placed on ECMO (maximum life support) for a week and given a 2% chance of survival.

His family were advised that “if” he was to survive that he’d have a brain injury. Dylan DID SURVIVE!!! He woke up after one week and SURVIVED! He is an absolute miracle and has no damage to his brain which doctors cannot medically understand.

He truly is a blessing and has chosen to live and to be here with his family.
